I actually only started playing Stardew Valley two weeks ago, but I am absolutely loving it. In the game, you are moving from the city to a farm in Pelican Town, which is located in Stardew Valley, which you have inherited from your late grandfather. You live the life of a farmer, can fish, make friends amongst the citizens, partake in town events like the Egg Festival where you can participate in an egg hunt, the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies when villagers gather at the docks to watch migrating jellyfish who are attracted to the light of a torch that the Mayor Lewis lights, Spirit’s Eve which features a maze where it is possible to obtain the Golden Pumpkin, an item that is loved by all citizens as a gift, so you mostly want to give it to the person you are trying to woo and marry, the Feast of Winter Star where you are assigned another person to give a gift to secretly and someone else is assigned to give you a gift, etc.

You are visited by your grandfather’s spirit at times, your father back in the city will sometimes send you money in the mail (awesome, right?), and you can even raise animals on your farm. There is a mine you can enter to get minerals and materials, though you should watch out because after level one there are all kinds of creatures that will attack you.

When you make friends enough with the person you like most you can even marry them and have children. The best part about that feature is a girl can marry a girl and a boy can marry a boy in the game and you can even adopt children with your spouse.

It is a super cute game and the quests are pretty interesting. All in all, I, as well as many other players, find it a great game and it is definitely worth a play, available for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation Vita, iOS, and Android.
